Location: This ‘hidden gem’ is located at the Chamberlain Rest Area off I 90, in Chamberlain, SD (see the Clue Me! Map). Called “Dignity of Earth and Sky,” the sculpture shows a Native American woman receiving a star quilt.

Why It's Interesting

The model for this statue was actually three women, a teenager, a mom, and a grandmother, their features blended together. This also represents the people who might make a star quilt, and the young lady who would receive the quilt.
